Training Course Accreditation Application

The IIC provides four levels of accreditation for Courses, and one level for Workshops. As a motivated and dynamic Coach Training organisation wanting to attract more students, The IIC has an accreditation level to suit the organisation's requirements. IIC accreditation for training courses and workshops is awarded only to those training programmes that meet or exceed the standards as specified.

The four levels of Course and the single level of Workshop Accreditation are:
  • Accredited Full Coach Training Programme - (ACTC)
  • Accredited Foundation Level 2 Coach Training Programme - (AF2C)
  • Accredited Foundation Level 1 Coach Training Programme - (AF1C)
  • Accredited Short Course - (ASCC)
  • Accredited Workshop - (AWSC)


  • On successful completion of your Accredited Course/Workshop application you will be able to take advantage of our exceptional Accredited Training organisation benefits. These include:
    • An internationally recognised coach training standard
    • Accreditation Certificate, clearly stating your courses with its accreditation level and IIC terminology.
    • Use of appropriate IIC accreditation logo on your stationery - websites, letterheads, brochures, emails etc. clearly stating your course and/or workshop professional standing.
    • Training course/workshop promotion on The IIC 's Approved Coach Training Course web-pages
    • Listing of your Course and/or Workshops dates on our Coaching Calendar. To ensure that your dates are listed, please email webmaster@the-iic.org with the details of each accredited course and/or workshop (course name, date, venue, link to book a place).

    • Accredited Training Organisations Newsletter, keeping you abreast of events, workshops, advice and ideas related to coaching.
    • Discounted professional indemnity insurance on an all encompassing indemnity and liability scheme for Coaches and Trainers, with many therapies included.

    • Discounted display space at the IIC Conferences.

    Accredited Full Coach Training Programme - (ACTC)
    Application fee € 50.00
    Accreditation fee € 1,000.00
    Requirements
    • 200+ hours of training
    • a minimum of 35 hours of direct contact training
    • home studies
    • reading
    • research
    • writing
    • mentored coaching where feedback is given by qualified and practicing coaches
    • Training Director is an Accredited Master Coach (AMC) or Accredited Fellow Coach (AFC)
    • information to be submitted includes:
      • marketing literature
      • information sent to students
      • course agenda
      • course material
      • contact details of five students that have completed the course
      • CV and/or biography of (these may be one and the same person):
        • Person responsible for designing the course
        • Person responsible for filling the role of Training Director
        • all Trainers
      • details of mentoring offered
      • qualifications of Mentor Coaches
    • where the course is assessed on the following:
      • quality of training
      • methods and variety of training
      • quality of materials
      • experience of Trainers
      • back-up and support during training
      • value for money
      • marketing methods and materials
      • student care during and after training
      • provision of Mentor Coaching
      • quality of assessment and qualification
    • completion of Declaration of Integrity

    Requirements
    • less than 200 hours of training
    • provides a good grounding and foundation in the area of Coaching, but is not as extensive as ACTC training
    • home studies
    • reading
    • research
    • writing
    • Training Director is an Accredited Master Coach (AMC) or Accredited Fellow Coach (AFC)

    • provides an extensive introduction course in Coaching, but is not as extensive as AF2C or ACTC training

    • a short course can either be one or more days in length
    • a short course is of a more instructional nature as opposed to a practical or participatory nature

    • a workshop is of shorter duration than a short course, lasting either a half day or a full day
    • a workshop is of a more practical or participatory nature
    • Training Director is an Accredited Practioner Coach (APC) or above
